BLOWER FAN CONTROLLER INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:a. Passenger’s side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)b. Passenger’s side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)c. Passenger’s side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)d. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the screw.
4. Remove the side duct.
5. Remove the duct.
6. Remove the auto leveling control module. (Without adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Remove the adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module. (With adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8. Remove the blower fan controller. (See BLOWER FAN CONTROLLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
9. Verify that the resistance between the terminals of the blower fan controller is as shown in the table.< Previous Next >
If there is any malfunction, replace the blower fan controller. (See BLOWER FAN CONTROLLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
If the blower motor operation is not normal even though no malfunction can be verified, inspect the climate control unit. (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].) (See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER].)
NOTE:
If a malfunction cannot be verified in the climate control unit, even if the climate control unit inspection is performed, it is possible that there is a malfunction in the blower fan controller internal circuit (electronic circuit). In this case, replace the blower fan controller.
