AMBIENT TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
Purpose
The ambient temperature display notifies the driver of the ambient temperature.
Functions
The instrument cluster displays the ambient temperature based on the ambient temperature signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication.
The ambient temperature is displayed within -40—70°C {-40—158°F}. -40°C {-40°F} is displayed if the ambient temperature is -40°C {-40°F} or less, 70°C {158°F} is displayed if 70°C {158°F} or more.

Operation
1. When the instrument cluster receives (1) an ambient temperature signal from the PCM while the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), it displays (2) the ambient temperature in the LCD.
