INTAKE MANIFOLD VACUUM INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

1. Remove the purge solenoid valve from the intake manifold, then install the vacuum gauge to the intake manifold. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
2. Verify that the intake air hoses are installed securely.
3. Warm up the engine.
4. Measure the intake manifold vacuum while idling (no load) using the vacuum gauge.
  • If not within the specification, perform the following inspections.

    • Compression pressure (See COMPRESSION INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)

    • Check valve (in the vacuum line) (See VACUUM LINE INSPECTION.)

    • Air suction

      • Installation areas of each vacuum hose

      • Evaporative hose connecting part

      • Installation area of throttle body

      • Installation area of fuel injector

      • Installation area of PCV valve

      • Installation area of intake manifold

    Standard
  • Approx. –60.0 kPa {–450.0 mmHg, –17.7 inHg}
