DTC: 30:Er30 [AUDIO UNIT]

Description	CD player temperature abnormality
Detection condition	Abnormal temperature in CD player is detected.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	CAUTION: If the CD player is used for long periods in a hot environment, the temperature of the CD player will increase and a DTC may be output. The CD player should not be used continuously for long periods with the cabin under high temperature conditions from being left under direct sunlight. Temporary abnormality due to continuous use CD player malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF CD PLAYER TEMPERATURE WAS TEMPORARILY HIGH Leave the vehicle in a cool location for 30 min or more. Clear the DTC for the CD player. (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO UNIT].) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on). Perform the DTC inspection for CD player. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO UNIT].) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the CD player. (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO UNIT].) Perform a CD inspection using the diagnostic assist function. (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO UNIT].) Perform the DTC inspection for CD player. (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO UNIT].) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the CD player, then go to the next step. (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [AUDIO UNIT].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
