DTC U3000:42/U3000:43/U3000:44/U3000:45/U3000:46/U3000:47/U3000:48/U3000:49/U3000:96 [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE]

Description	Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) malfunction
Detection condition	U3000:42 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) ROM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:43 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) external RAM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:44 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) internal RAM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:45 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) ROM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:46 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) EEPROM malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:47 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) monitoring system malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:48 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) communication circuit malfunction detected with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:49 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) voltage control circuit malfunction detected for 1 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on). U3000:96 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH) internal circuit malfunction detected for 1 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
Fail-safe	U3000:42 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:43 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:44 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:45 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:46 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:47 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:48 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:49 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped. U3000:96 Blind spot monitoring (BSM) system is stopped.

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE (LH) DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Clear the DTC for the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE].) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 2.5 s or more. Retrieve the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE].) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module (LH), then go to the next step. (See BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
